Paper Star

DIY Paper Star
This is the perfect holiday craft! It looks great all in white as a tree topper (just glue it onto a cone drinking cup) or if you make these on a smaller scale, they are great as ornaments! These paper creations only take a few minutes to make. Let's get started!

Here is what you will need:

Take a square of paper and fold it in half, like this:

Line your ruler up with the folded side and mark from the top and bottom, 1/2 inch, 1/2 inch, 1/4 inch, 1/4 inch, 1/4 inch.

Make lines parallel to the other two edges that start from your measured marks. Make sure they don't meet in the middle!

Carefully cut your lines, making sure not to meet in the middle. Otherwise, you will end up with random triangles!

It should look like this:

Open up your paper.

Position your paper so that the middle fold is horizontal.

Use a dab of glue on the back of the first center flap, like so:

Press the two flaps together for a few seconds or until it sticks.

It should look like this:

Flip your paper over.

And repeat the process using the next flaps which should be the skinny triangular strips.

 Turn over your paper again.

And repeat until all strips are glued.

You should end up with something like this:

Repeat the folding, measuring, cutting and gluing with the four remaining papers. Don't worry, it will go quicker now because you are an expert!

To attach all the sections together, stack the end flaps, using a dot of glue between them. (It doesn't matter which top or bottom; they look the same!)

To attach the sides, use another dot of glue and pinch.

Voila! You now have a perfect finished star! Enjoy!
