Red Lobster Biscuits (without the guilt!)


 I whipped up these biscuits last minute yesterday for lunch and they were a big hit! These are my "healthier" take on Red Lobster Biscuits.

Biscuit Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 c biscuit mix (such as Bisquick)
  • 2/3 c skim milk
  • 3 tbs melted butter
  • 1/2 c shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tbs chopped scallions
Topping Ingredients:
  • 4 tbs melted butter
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp dried oregano
  • 3/4 c shredded cheddar cheese
  1. Preheat the oven to 450* and spray a baking sheet with nonstick spray.
  2. Mix all the biscuit ingredients together. If it is still really sticky, add a tbs more of the biscuit mix.
  3. Scoop heaping tablespoons onto the baking sheet. Space about 2 inches apart since they will get larger. 
  4. Bake for 9 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. While the biscuits are baking, mix all the topping ingredients together except the cheese.
  6. When the biscuits are done, immediately sprinkle the cheese over the biscuits.
  7. Brush the butter mixture over the biscuits until there is no more butter mixture left.
  8. Serve warm. If eating as leftovers, microwave for one minute.
