Sweet and Sour Green Beans


This recipe is slightly adapted from Taste of Home. This was so much tastier than our usual butter-and-parmesan green beans!


  • 4 c frozen green beans
  • 4 chopped strips of cooked bacon
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 2 tsp dehydrated onion
  • 2 tbs brown sugar
  • 2 tsb red wine vinegar
  • S&P
  • olive oil
  1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet and saute the green beans, garlic and onion with S&P. Cook until the green beans are heated through.
  2. Add the chopped bacon and cook until it gets hot and crispy.
  3. Stir in the brown sugar and vinegar.
  4. Eat immediately!
