DIY Tissue Box

Since I am on Spring Break, I made sure to be at Salvation Army for their 1/2 off sale on Wednesday at 10 am exactly. I picked up this ugly tissue box for a mere 50 cents! I mean, I am sure no one else would want it... faux marble and plastic. Eek! Here it is, as is:

So, time for a mini-makeover. I had a bunch of twine leftover from the wedding and various other crafts so I decided to cover the tissue box with it. All it took was some twine and a lot of hot glue. It didn't take as long as I thought either; less than an hour. I think it looks much better and adds some texture to the space.

Stay tuned because I have more projects that I have been working on this week! I can't wait to show you all!

  3. Can the box be reused? I'm after a box cover that simply is placed on top of an ordinary tissue box, as a cover. Does this do that?

    1. Yes, it's a regular reusable tissue box that she covered with twine.
