Cookies & Cream Cookies

During my cookie extravaganza baking day, I made these Cookies & Cream Cookies. Out of all the cookie recipes I tried that day, these were by far my favorite! They are the perfect thin cookie; thin but still soft and chewy. And they taste just like cookies & cream; everyone was surprised to find out that they had Oreos inside! I brought these to Back to School and I had only one cookie left out of the whole batch to bring home. Definitely a success!


Cookies & Cream Cookies

Ingredients (32 cookies)
  • 1/2 c softened butter
  • 1/3 c plus 1 tbs sugar
  • 1/3 c packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 1/2 c flour
  • 2 tbs milk
  • 1 1/2 c smashed oreos
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350* and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Cream the butter, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla, salt, baking soda and baking powder.
Add the egg and mix well.
Add in the flour and beat until combined.
Stir in the milk and smashed oreos.
Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the baking sheets, approximately 2 inches apart. I used a medium scoop.
Bake for 11-15 minutes or until the edges are slightly darker and golden brown.
Cool on the baking sheets.
