DIY Glitter & Gold Pinecone Ornaments

For those of you keeping up with my Christmas decor posts, you know that this year is the first year that Todd and I have been able to decorate for Christmas. It is also decorating on an extreme budget. These golden, glittery pinecone ornaments only cost me around $1 to make but if you have pinecones outside your house, these could be free!

I had bought these pre-glittered, pre-golden pinecones from Michael's last year after Christmas. It was 75% off... or some absurd percentage off.

I used some white ribbon I already had...

... and a hot glue gun which I also already had...

... to create these simple, natural ornaments.

But like I said, if you have pinecones outside your house, feel free to use those. You could spray paint them with gold glitter spray paint or hand paint them.

Our Christmas tree is really coming together! I have a couple more ornament projects before I take pictures of the entire thing. Check out our DIY Upcycled Ruffled Tree Skirt and DIY Dried Orange Ornaments to see what we've made so far!

  1. Oh I love these, and you've reminded me that I have a box of pinecones stashed away ready for Christmas crafts (we collected lots over the summer, my sons' school is surrounded by pine trees).

Thank you so much for dropping by my blog, I'm following you back now :)

Thanks for stopping by! We both enjoy reading your comments. Please leave your email or a link back to your blog so we can return the love!
