In my mission to build my dollhouse, I have also decided to furnish and decorate it. Dollhouse furniture and accessories can be quite expensive so I have decided to start making my own. Here is a tutorial for making a sectional sofa out of mat board! The only thing I had to buy was the fabric... and you really don't need much. And I apologize for the darkish photos... it was pretty late at night. :)
Materials:
Cardstock
Fabric (about 1/8th of a yard)
Mat board or thin cardboard
Hot glue
Gluestick
Pencil
Scissors
Ruler
Thin quilt batting
Ta-da! A sectional sofa! You can adjust the dimensions to work for any size doll or you can adjust the template pieces and dimensions to make a regular sofa or chair. So many possibilities! Stay tuned for more dollhouse updates and tutorials.
