Happy December everyone! Grad school is almost over... I can't wait for my break! ... Just a few more days until I can breathe.

So in November, Todd and I ran the Color Run. It's a very popular 5K that comes to our area (and other major cities) each year. Todd and I did it with our friends David and Melissa. Basically, you can run or walk the 5K. There are different color stations where they will throw colored powder at you. It was a lot of fun!

Todd did his own run/walk thing. David, Melissa and I jogged the whole thing in 30 minutes! We were going pretty slow because there were so many people so we don't think the Color Run is a full 5K. Nevertheless, it was still a messy blast!

A few days after the Color Run, Todd and I celebrated our anniversary. Unfortunately, due to Todd's work schedule at the time, we weren't able to see each other on our actual anniversary day!

Thanksgiving day was spent with my father-in-law's family. I brought two Caramel Apple Pecan Pies... So yummy!

We spent the day after Thanksgiving with my mother-in-laws family. We even brought Banner. :)

When we got home, I was excited to decorate for Christmas. We had planned to buy a real tree this year but that didn't work out. So, artificial tree it is!

Check out our tree pictures and DIY ornament projects either on the right side bar or in the DIY tab at the top of the page.

And that brings us to December. Oh how I love this time of year! Unfortunately, grad school has been taking up all my decorating and baking time... I have NO Christmas cookies baked yet! And add to that, my oven decided to be difficult. It is now about 20 degrees off so I have to use an oven thermometer. I was wondering why the last three things I made never fully cooked...

But one more week of grad school and I will be free! Free to fiddle with my oven... and prepare for Christmas! :)

Everyone has been getting nice and snuggly in our home this winter. Above is Banner... Can you find him?

Jose's favorite place is in the bathroom, since it's the warmest room in the house. He sits by the bathroom vent all day and all night. He gets very confused when the heat shuts off.

And when I thought I was so stressed out and couldn't take anymore, we had a delayed opening on Monday and a snow day yesterday (Tuesday)!

I was able to finish up most of my grad homework. And get this- I was able to relax. It was super nice! I decided to watch some movies and make some fruit.

Clementines are the perfect winter treat! Speaking of clementines, I need to buy myself some! I also made some apples because... why not? My dollhouse kind of missed the fall season this year. Another thing to blame grad school on!

Feel free to check out some of my miniature tutorials and tour some dollhouse rooms under the DIY tab at the top of the page. They are so much fun! Little things make me so happy. :)

Notice anything different about my pictures? They are all Instagram photos! Feel free to follow me; the link is on the right hand bar. I got the new iPhone 5c as an early Christmas present since my old phone was broken. I literally would have to hold it together to make a phone call! I am so in love with my new phone. Now I can take decent pictures!

Happy Holidays Everyone!
